Zoom Whitening

The outside layer of your teeth is composed of enamel, a very mineralized and porous material that, as you age, gradually loses its original bright colour due to stains that build up on the surface.  These stains can be the result of smoking, but in many cases they come from the consumption of coffee and tea, red wine, cranberries and other dark fruit and fruit juices, or even the extensive use of antibiotics.  Whitening, when performed under the care of a dentist or dental professional, can safely and quickly restore your teeth to their original brilliance.  The Zoom teeth whitening system is an incredibly quick, easy, and safe way for individuals with a busy lifestyle to restore their time worn smile to its white and bright self.

Protecting lips and gums
Under the care of Dr. Kevin Clark and his associates, you will begin your Zoom whitening session by having a protective coating applied to your lips and gums to guard against any sensitivity you may have. 

Application and activation

The Zoom whitening formula, a pH balanced hydrogen peroxide gel developed under the care of teams of dental professionals, is then carefully and evenly applied to your teeth. At this point a light that has been specially developed for use in the Zoom system is used to activate the gel and begin to lift the stains from your teeth’s surface. 

Repeat and complete

To ensure the best results the gel will be applied twice more, each application taking approximately fifteen minutes, before the treatment is concluded.  Once the process is complete your smile will reveal teeth that are at least six to ten shades brighter, an accomplishment that will take you little more than an hour.

If bleaching the teeth at home, an individual must load and wear bleach trays for about an hour a day, a process that must be repeated approximately fifteen times, before the desired whiteness can be reached.  This means a fifteen day procedure, and this is without taking into account the time required to take moulds of the teeth and manufacture the trays.  The Zoom whitening system has the advantage of requiring little more than your relaxation during the roughly one hour procedure.  When you have your teeth Zoom whitened, you walk in smiling, and walk out beaming.
